#24: Healing journey for the audience.

Important note: These recorded webinars (1-30) contain highly useful information and exercises regarding Optimal EFT and The Unseen Therapist. However, they were conducted prior to the 2017 publication of my book, The Unseen Therapist and thus used older terminology, such as...

  • Guard at the Gate: This was a metaphor to describe our resistance to entering the state of Oneness. It is no longer used.

  • A Course In Miracles (ACIM): This popular spiritual document was used by many participants and so some of its principles were discussed in the context of Optimal EFT and The Unseen Therapist. Students are not required to read or study ACIM.

Even thought it is recorded, you can participate in the full Optimal EFT session contained within this Webinar video.  The session involves an issue of resentment that, as you will see, can also bring about some substantial relief for physical symptoms.  Please consult physicians on all medical issues.

For your convenience, the index below will help you find topics of interest.  Below that are included my notes and written narrative that are behind this highly effective session.

Topics of Interest:

0:00:00 Gary introduces Sheri Baker, our advanced ACIM student.

0:01:02 Gary introduces Judith and they discuss her Optimal EFT experience of “reframes” within the process and how they automatically and deeply shifted her perception.  Sheri comments.

0:16:09 Gary introduces Angela and they discuss her experience of having the spiritual dimension having its hands within her in a manner that assists healing.  Others have had this experience and it is important to display its power here.  Sheri shares her experiences in this regard.

0:27:00 Gary takes the entire audience on an Optimal EFT journey designed to bring healing to all.  Judith joins him and Sheri comments.

1:24:32 Yvonne gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  Dizziness and sinus congestion cleared.  Her resentment issue became zero and another issue was presented for her future work.  Gary responds.

1:26:46 Shelley gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  Most physical symptoms dropped in intensity and a major resentment issue fell to zero.  Important discussion follows.

1:32:04 Nancy gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  Interesting responses regarding her physical symptoms.  Her resentment issue became positively reframed.  Gary responds.

1:36:28 Elin gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  She did not get any noticeable results.  Gary responds as to possible reasons why not.

1:41:44 Kathilyn gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  She discusses her physical symptoms and the details of a trauma.  Gary responds.

1:46:01 Maryse gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  Good results.  At one point Unseen Therapist became one with her.  She also found herself renouncing some of the Guard at the Gate’s voices.  Gary responds.

1:49:53 Shelley gives feedback regarding the Webinar.  She discusses how a foundational event showed up while she was working on a current resentment.  Gary responds with thoughts about Unseen Therapist often helping us with our “detective work.”

1:52:07 Gary, Sheri and Judith sign off with final thoughts.

My notes and written narrative for the session contained within this Webinar:

SOMETHING LIKE HAVING A PERSONAL OPTIMAL EFT SESSION WITH ME.  VARYING RESULTS TO BE EXPECTED BUT, BECAUSE IT IS RECORDED, YOU CAN REPEAT IT OFTEN AND THUS IMPROVE.

PREPARATION IS IMPORTANT.

1.    SHOW A SAMPLE LIST FOR BELOW ON SHARE SCREEN.

2.    TAKE ONE MINUTE TO DO A LIST OF PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS. 0-10 ON EACH

3.    TAKE 15 SECONDS TO PICK ONE PERSON FOR WHOM YOU HAVE RESENTMENTS.

4.    TAKE ONE MINUTE TO PICK ONE SPECIFIC EVENT JUSTIFYING THIS RESENTMENT (ONE CRESCENDO, LIST EMOTIONS)  WRITE DOWN 0-10 ON EACH OF THEM.

CONSIDER THE BUSINESS OF THE DAY (PROBLEMS, DOUBTS, WORRIES, IRRITATIONS), LIKE A COAT, AND HANG IT UP OUTSIDE THE ROOM WHERE WE START OUR JOURNEY.  YOU CAN PUT IT BACK ON LATER IF YOU WANT.

THIS JOURNEY INCLUDES A SUMMARY OF THE THEORY AND SCIENCE BEHIND OPTIMAL EFT AND SO THE FIRST PART OF JOURNEY-INCLUDES AN INFORMATIVE FOUNDATIONAL NARRATIVE.  NECESSARY FOR NEWCOMERS AND USEFUL AS A REVIEW FOR MOST EVERYONE.  ACCORDINGLY, I WILL BE SPENDING 10 to 15 MINUTES ON THIS FOUNDATION NEAR THE FRONT TO BE SURE ALL OF US ARE ON THE SAME PAGE.

CLOSE YOUR EYES IF YOU PLEASE.

Come with me and our healing friend, The Unseen Therapist, on a magic carpet ride.

Together we will travel outside the limits of this world where disease and resentments are impossible.  We will immerse ourselves in an ocean of Love where insecurity and doubt are exchanged for complete protection and certainty.  In doing so, we will invite healing at the ultimate levels.

Anyone can join us but, since our journey involves Optimal EFT, the more you know about that process the more likely will be your benefits.

Up front, it will be helpful to recognize what our advanced scientists, near-death experiences and emerging spiritual disciplines have been telling us for decades, namely, that separation is impossible; there is only a loving Oneness that connects us all.  Accordingly, the world that we perceive is an illusion, a dream.  We will see that on our journey.

But before we get on our magic carpet, let’s imagine a large glass ball floating in the enormity of space.

Inside the ball is the world as we perceive it, complete with billions of seemingly separate bodies that experience pleasure, pain, disease, resentments, politics, doubt, worry, fear, guilt and an imposing list of issues that must be dealt with before, inevitably, each body dies.

Outside the ball is the Truth of our existence … uninterrupted Love without any man-made issues to compete with it.  Here there is joy, peace and the impossibility of disease or death.  This is where The Unseen Therapist lives, eager to gently bring us out of the ball and into the Oneness.  We live there too.  It is our true home but, for now it is outside of our awareness.

The glass enclosing the ball is a one-way mirror.  When we are inside the ball we see a reflection of the world within it, i.e. buildings, roads, people, mountains and millions of seemingly separate things.  Accordingly, we are unaware that anything exists beyond the ball.  When we are outside the ball (and we will go there shortly) we see through the one-way mirror and can observe the unnecessary chaos within the ball.

We start our journey where we already seem to be, that is, inside the ball with our brothers and sisters, each of us playing our parts in the dream.  Although we are actually part of an all-encompassing Oneness, we seem to be divided into small units and contained within individual body-suits.  This is the illusion, or dream, of separateness and creates the seeming need to compete with one another for both physical resources and love.  This preposterous dream is like the rays of the sun believing they are different from each other and not one with their source.  And, like the rays of the sun, we cannot separate from our Source.  However, we can believe in this impossible separation and the awakening from this dreamlike belief is the ultimate goal of Optimal EFT.

We look around the inside of the ball and notice the pleasures.  We observe sunsets, gentle breezes, romantic times, music, movies, sports, theme parks and many other enjoyments.  But they all seem to be fleeting. They last for brief periods of time and somehow need to be bought, waited for or achieved.  They come and go and most of them need to be pursued rather than be a perpetual part of our presence here.  Even a successful, long term romance eventually ends with death.  Nothing, it seems, is permanent within the ball.  The world constantly shifts and changes and, to keep up, we must shift and change within it.

We also see the pains of the world and, more so than the pleasures, they seem to be ever-present.  Wars are a constant occurrence, even if they aren’t big enough to make the news.  And rare is the person without a list of resentments that are dwelled upon with some frequency.  Who among us, for example, has not been attacked, betrayed, cheated or rejected and felt ongoing animosity towards the perpetrators?

Also, fears and concerns regarding disease and death frequently occupy our background thoughts as do worries about finances and social standing.  Are we good enough?  Are we educated enough?  Are we acceptable or lovable in the eyes of others?

None of this exists outside the ball where only a perpetual state of constant Love endures and all of us are joined in an everlasting ensemble of Oneness.  This dream we are having contains enough incentives to keep us interested but those pleasures can be likened to a few drops of water when compared to the ocean of Love that awaits us on our journey.

So why don’t we just wake up from the dream, float peacefully outside the ball and leave the turmoil behind?  That would seem to be the logical path here but, as it turns out, we resist this transformation.  Why?  Because we are used to this world of separation and don’t wish to trade it for what, to us, seems like the unknown.

In psychology, this resistance is recognized as the ego.  In Optimal EFT, we call it The Guard at the Gate because of its efforts at perpetuating itself and not letting the larger Truth appear through the gate of our own resistance.  Consequently, it is tenacious in maintaining our belief in separation and, if it wasn’t for this defensive posture, The Unseen Therapist would have brought us home long ago.

What we need is exposure to what it’s like outside the glass ball.  We need evidence to counter the resistance of the wily Guard at the Gate so that, bit by bit, we become more convinced of the glorious nature of our true reality.

So, along with The Unseen Therapist, let’s hop on that magic carpet and float outside the ball.

If you were able to truly step out of this dream, you would notice from your seat on the magic carpet the immediate absence of the world’s sights, sounds, arguments and other commotions as they are replaced by a quiet peace that is impossible to interrupt.  No doubts here.  No deadlines.  No disease.  No death. No disturbance of any kind.  There exists only a radiant splendor of which you are a part.

But, chances are, you are not able to step out of the dream and thus you may still retain a busy, chattering mind whose constant distractions isolate you from the peace that you pursue.  That’s OK.  This is to be expected as we are still in the early stages of our journey.  You can repeat this whole process often and gradually improve your ability to get quiet.

As an aid to approaching this peaceful state, let’s employ some simple EFT tapping on the meridians.

PUT IN SOME TAPPING HERE TO QUIET DOWN.

Now let’s spend some time bringing in The Unseen Therapist to help us get quiet and step out of the dream.  As we close our eyes, we imagine the glass ball in the distance, vibrating with all its discordant noises.  These noises are acting as a familiar magnet pulling us into the dream and preventing our peace.

Now imagine a nearby switch that can turn off the noises in a manner similar to turning off a radio.  Flip the switch, mute the chatter and notice the peace that follows.  Mentally invite The Unseen Therapist to bring her love into the effort.  We will stay with this for one minute.  We may have to stop and re-flip that switch a few times during the minute.  If so, that’s fine.  This is to be expected.  We are just starting on this journey and, again, the more you repeat these procedures the more your abilities to get quiet will improve.

ONE MINUTE AT BEING QUIET…REPEAT THE TAPPING AND THEN THE ABOVE.

Now, as we move closer to the ball and look through that one way mirror, we see ourselves within our body-suits acting out our beliefs in separation.  You notice how your thoughts and behaviors within the ball shift from survival to resentments to cautions to finances and everything in between.  They ricochet endlessly in a state of nearly constant conflict, rarely stopping to experience anything like the peace you find outside the ball.

From your objective outside view, you can now see how the dream of separation affects you and everyone else within the ball.  Everyone within the dream has ricocheting thoughts that come about because the awareness of their true loving Oneness has been lost.  They are searching for it and are calling for love through their various behaviors.

This includes your dear friends as well as those you regard as betrayers, cheaters, evil-doers and “enemies.”  Like you, all are competing and doing what they think they need to do to survive, be liked, become financially solvent and so on.  And each is conditioned by their individual families and environments as to what is or isn’t right, wrong or ethical and thus no two people develop the identical code of conduct.  This is a recipe for rivalry, of course, and this you clearly see from outside the ball, as conflict, not peace, becomes the drumbeat of separate existence.

This is where the idea of True Forgiveness emerges.  It doesn’t just recognize an injustice within the dream and excuse it for now.  Rather, True Forgiveness recognizes that the errant behavior was done from a conflicted state within an illusory dream and thus

never really happened.

Stated differently, the ball and all the less-than-pleasant activities within it, including yours, are now seen as nonsensical notions of nothing.

Once we see this clearly, then True Forgiveness becomes achievable.  Indeed, do you have any difficulty truly forgiving whatever may have happened during one of your nighttime dreams?  I doubt it.  Because none of those events, however real they may have seemed, really happened.

So now we are ready to exercise True Forgiveness regarding our resentments and other emotions within the illusory world.  In so doing, we will loosen the Guard at the Gate’s grip on our resistance and allow The Unseen Therapist more flexibility in removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s presence.

Let’s begin with you.  Locate yourself within the ball and objectively notice the continuing conflicts that occupy your mind.  Note particularly the resentments and unforgivenesses that you hold against others, however justified they may seem, and how they rob you of your own peace.  We will address these in this exercise.

But first,  DO MORE “QUIET TAPPING” FIRST

Now close your eyes for two minutes, get quiet and mentally invite The Unseen Therapist to help you share love with the worried, doubtful you within the ball.  That lack of peace is causing negative chemistry to course throughout your body and is generating problems in both your health and social pursuits.

NOW BEFORE WE DO ANYTHING DIRECTLY ON YOUR LISTS,

1.    ONE MINUTE ON CHECKING OUT THE PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS.  0-10.  WRITE DOWN RESULTS.

2.    ONE MINUTE ON THE SPECIFIC EVENT. 0-10.  WRITE DOWN RESULTS.

Now, with The Unseen Therapist’s help,  we will attempt True Forgiveness on your specific event.

·       Close your eyes and spend a few moments focusing on the specific event.

·       Now spend a few more moments identifying the emotional issues (anger, grief, guilt, fear, sadness, etc..

·       Then spend two minutes inviting The Unseen Therapist, in quiet, to resolve the issue.  It’s OK if your internal chatter interrupts you.  Just simply notice it and resume.

This effort is a process and needs to be persistently repeated if we are to replace our years of conditioning with the Truth of our existence.  One trip outside the ball is not likely to do the job.  But each trip moves us a bit further up our ladder towards Enlightenment.

Reminder: While the content in this Near-Free Advanced Online Training is complete and, with proper practice, can lead you to mastery, not everyone is an accomplished self-help student. Thus, for some students, our LIVE CLASSES can substantially ease the way. See our TRAINING OPTIONS.
