A surrogate EFT Teddy Bear became a special friend for a housebound woman

Alert: This is one of 3,000 EFT Tapping articles that were written by users like you but before 2010. As such they are outdated and some of the links don't work. Hi Everyone,

Patricia Wynne from the UK taught her client to do surrogate tapping for her own issues while using a stuffed Teddy Bear. Notice that the client did the surrogate tapping for global issues like "everything is going to be OK" and did it with persistence for 6 months. This is a good example of how persistence pays. Getting down to specific events would likely have brought more efficiency to the process.

Hugs, Gary

Hello Gary,

I'm taking the liberty of sending this experience, which is another great example of surrogate EFT.

I've been practicing EFT for 6 years now with many grateful clients but so far have neglected to send any of my case studies for the newsletter! I bought one of Linda Wood's 'Magic Button' Bears last year at an EFT conference in Ilkley and had begun to use it with Sian when I was invited to take a trip abroad.

Sian first came to see me in 2005, seeking a way to cope with her life. Over many sessions of EFT we addressed her insecurities and fear that; 'The world is a dangerous place'. Even though EFT has helped her to face her many fears and let them go, she's still had to cope with the physical effects of many years of diabetes.

Last year, as I was planning to go away for six months, she had a particularly bad time and was hospitalised for several weeks. I used the 'Magic Buttons' Bear that we'd been using to send her daily surrogate healing. I felt bad about leaving her at such a vulnerable time so to help compensate for my absence, I left the Bear in her care. While I was away she made good use of her "Surrogate Therapist!" On my return I was amazed at her progress. This is her experience in her own words...

My Special Friend... I have been housebound for many years due to my physical and emotional illnesses and have been having EFT for some time. Before Pat went on her travels, she gave me a special Teddy Bear, which has EFT tapping points on its face and body in the form of buttons. I was panicking on how I was going to cope without Pat, so I focused my energy and thoughts onto my EFT Teddy. Each time I had a stressful time or panic attack I just focused on my Teddy by tapping and saying to myself that everything was going to be OK. I did this for the 6 months Pat was away and slowly started to feel better as I took control of my issues. I became more focused and bit by bit my confidence started to grow. I now go out every day and have started a hobby that I never dreamed would happen. I feel and believe that my special Teddy helped me through the bad times and focused myself outside the four walls I had been living in for 8 years. I hope my story will inspire and give hope to someone who's struggling with everyday life or problems they may have. I'd just like to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel as I found mine in my EFT Teddy, my special friend.

Naturally, she now has her special bear friend for keeps.
