"This is a clear indicator of OCD now being a thing of the past."
Intro from Gary: As you may recall, Andre, one of our Near-Free Advanced Online Training Members, experienced some extraordinary improvements in agoraphobia, anxiety, panic attacks and related issues. To his surprise, his OCD issues also seemed to vanish even though we didn't work on them directly. As further evidence that his OCD issues were gone, he sent me this letter below.
Andre's letter: Hi Gary, I’m laughing a little right now at rereading my message to you from yesterday. There are usage errors and a couple of missed words. This is a clear indicator of OCD now being a thing of the past—there was just way too much humiliation potential from a lack of perfection and I thought that errors meant that I wasn’t good enough and not smart enough . . . and all the accompanying anxiety that came with all that.
I have never allowed myself the luxury of errors in writing, and it just rarely happened because I would edit and reread no less than five or six times—until it was absolutely perfect. It was excruciating. Hey, and guess what? Without having to waste time on details that no one really cares about, I am getting so much more done.
The previous me would have apologized profusely for having wasted your time and insulting you with my lack of care and I would have offered—insisted, really—to edit it to perfection (and of course I will if you’d like, but I won’t insist) and there also might be some value in sharing the fact that it’s no longer a big deal that I made a few mistakes.
Thanks so much Gary,
Andre
e-hugs, Gary
