Can We Create Comfort For Someone With Mental Illness?

Question: Could you use the Unseen Therapist to heal a young woman that is diagnosed with depersonalization derealization disorder and other mental illnesses?

Answer: To me, mental illnesses, regardless of their various labels, have one or more causes. And included among these likely causes are emotional traumas to the system that motivate the person to develop protective mechanisms. These, in turn, help insulate him or her from a traumatic world. Multiple Personality Disorder (aka Dissociative Identity Disorder) is but one example. Depersonalization Derealization Disorder is another.

Given this possibility, we must consider the likelihood that your friend doesn’t want to release her “disorder.” It may serve a vitally important purpose (to her) and, to let it go, may be too frightening for her to comprehend… at least until a skilled approach can reframe and resolve the underlying traumatic cause.

We are far more powerful than we think: As you may recall from my intro e-book, The Unseen Therapist (see links below), we are given the spiritual free will to believe as we choose. Accordingly, if a person wants his/her disease or disorder (or the beliefs/attitudes causing them), they can, and will, keep them. That’s why so many drugs and other approaches are either temporary, masking or fail altogether. We are far more powerful than we think and thus we can both create and heal our own issues.

High-End: Creating comfort is certainly possible via The Unseen Therapist but it will likely take a High-End use to bring comfort and resolution to your friend.
