Our Central Goal: Personal Peace

"Once you truly digest the essential role of Personal Peace,

the entire Palace of Possibilities takes on an elegant new meaning."

Most people come here with specific goals in mind. Examples...

  • Better health

  • More money

  • Improved relationships

  • Enhanced performance (sports, speaking, singing, etc.)

  • And countless other human pursuits

All of these are quite doable within The Palace of Possibilities. As proof, just explore the THOUSANDS of results on this website from real people like yourself (see links at the top of this page). However, none of these specific achievements represent our Central Goal. Instead, they are the RESULTS of our success with our Central Goal. And what is that Central Goal?

Personal Peace

That may seem strange; maybe even the opposite of your current thinking. You might even respond with thoughts like...

  • What does Personal Peace have to do with my job or my golf score?

  • I want this arthritis pain to go away and will join you in a blissful La La Land after that.

  • Who wouldn't want Personal Peace but I have to resolve these irritations with person X first.

But once you truly digest the essential role of Personal Peace, the entire Palace of Possibilities takes on an elegant new meaning.

ReThink Time: Personal Peace, once you ReThink it, has EVERYTHING to do with ALL of our pursuits. Let me explain with some examples:

Health: As we learn in What REALLY Causes My Disease(s), our negative emotions (anger, guilt, fear, worry, etc.) create a stream of negative chemistry in our bodies. This, in turn, soaks up our immune systems' resources and allows diseases of every kind to manifest.

By contrast, love, joy and gratitude move us toward Personal Peace and create positive chemistry that tends to heal our physical ailments. Interestingly, I have never met a person that can experience joy and anger at the same time. Have you? It's either one or the other.

Further, what happens to your physical symptoms (pains and discomforts) when you are experiencing loving or joyful moments Do they fade or vanish during these times? You might notice that next time.

In essence, then, negative emotions overwhelm your Personal Peace and become "well-being bandits." Once they have been properly resolved, however, they no longer affect the immune system and thus release it to do its job. That's why our Personal Peace Procedure is taught in such great detail in our Near-Free Advanced Online Training. I urge Members of that training to pay particular attention to Advanced Lessons 3 through 10. They provide great assists in being thorough with those emotionally charged Specific Events that have created so many limits and physical ailments.

Performance: Improve your Personal Peace and your performance on just about every pursuit will improve with it. With Personal Peace your body relaxes and flows. When negative emotions emerge, however, tensions show up in your body and affect your performance.

Let's explore golf to make the point.

Chances are you have made many perfect shots in one or more of your many golf rounds. You have made the perfect drive, the perfect fairway wood, the perfect approach shot, and the perfect putt. During these times, note how your body flows harmoniously because self-doubts and other negative emotions are not competing with your Personal Peace.

And because your body knows how to do all these things, it may not be your physical skill set that should be your focus. Rather, consider that it is the emotional side of your game that needs help. I speak here of the doubts and other negative thoughts that compete with your Personal Peace and tend to show up as you progress from shot to shot.

We tend to develop many negative beliefs and "limits" as we make our ways through the world (and the golf course). We replay that list with great frequency (often subconsciously) throughout our days (see My Consistent Thoughts Become My Reality). That list can be exhaustingly long and I can't even pretend to portray them all here. Possibilities for golfers, however, might include...

  • My handicap is X and that's where I "belong."

  • If I improve, my golfing buddies might get uncomfortable and I may lose friends.

  • I don't deserve to improve.

  • If I improve, people may think I am a showoff.

  • If I improve, people will expect me to maintain that improvement.

These are often subtle and are likely outside of your immediate awareness. In our Near-Free Advanced Online Training, we teach you how to locate them so you can free yourself from these "Writings on Your Walls" and move you toward the mastery of your own life (golf and otherwise).

Money: Few pursuits in our world are as stress-producing as those surrounding our finances. While I have prepared an entire section on Money & Business, I hope to make a few useful points below regarding the role of Personal Peace and Money.

Some Beliefs: So here are some beliefs about money that can erode big time our Personal Peace (and our financial abundance). Those beliefs are followed by some ReThinks.

  • It isn't spiritual to make a lot of money. ReThink: This is a common belief, but strange. It is usually advanced by some religions but nowhere do I find what income or net worth constitutes "a lot of money." Where is the dividing line? Further, I have never heard of any religion (or anyone else) rejecting a follower because of their financial circumstances or turning down a large donation from a rich person. If you can give me a plausible reason behind this belief please write to me here. Otherwise, consider it a Personal Peace bandit... a stressor that unnecessarily limits your abundance.

  • Rich people are greedy. ReThink: So are some poor people... and people of different races and colors... and of different political or religious beliefs... and athletes... and celebrities... and everyone else. We are all concerned with our own self-interests. And, just like in the first belief above, where is the dividing line? How much money constitutes being "rich" and what degree of natural self-interest equates to being greedy? If you carry this belief can you answer these questions. If so, please write to me here so I can inform my many readers. Otherwise, please consider this belief to be another expensive Personal Peace bandit.

  • To make a lot of money, you have to step on others. ReThink: Again, what is "a lot of money?" Without this definition, you will never know if you are "stepping on others." Besides, we live in a competitive world where winning is heralded. If you win a race or a tennis match are you not defeating (stepping on) your opponent? Same with business. While some business owners may cheat to get ahead, most thrive because they offer better prices, products or services. As a consumer, don't you generally reward those better businesses with your patronage? And when you do are you thinking that they must be stepping on others because they are thriving? Another Personal Peace bandit.

  • If I make more money than my father, sister, etc., I will lose their love. ReThink: You might also be gaining their admiration. Have you ever asked them? Or is this just an assumption? I have a difficult time imagining a relative or loved one saying something like... "Don't get any wealthier than X or I won't love you." If anyone REALLY held that position, I could only conclude that their love was contingent on my level of financial achievement. Is that really worth pursuing?

  • People will judge me if I make a lot of money. ReThink: They will also judge you if you make very little. Either way, others will judge you... so you might as well be rich.

In Summary: You may come to The Palace of Possibilities with specific goals in mind. That's fine, most do. And you may well achieve those goals. If so, great.

However, WE ARE NOT AIMING HERE AT SPECIFIC GOALS. Our pursuits are much loftier than that. Getting rid of a headache or improving your tennis backhand are welcome side-effects but the real benefit here is Personal Peace. The more negative emotions you can reduce or remove. the more Personal Peace you will have. This means you will have less baggage within and more freedom in your world. This can affect EVERYTHING.

Our Near-Free Advanced Online Training is designed to move you up our Stairway to Miracles toward Perfect Personal Peace. Perhaps we will meet there someday.

e-hugs, Gary
