Two Newcomer EFT Tapping Successes: Fainting And Shyness

Alert: This is one of 3,000 EFT Tapping articles that were written by users like you but before 2010. As such they are outdated and some of the links don't work. Nonetheless, they provide an excellent Peek at the Possibilities and show you the wide reach of even our older methods. See TRAINING for our free and near-free advanced methods.

Hi Everyone,

Here are are two interesting cases...both done by EFT newcomers.

The first case involves "Tony" who used EFT for depression and tachycardia. He achieved improvements on both conditions....AND....discovered that a life-long issue with shyness simply disappeared. I have no explanation for this. I can only speculate that using EFT for depression collapsed some issues behind the scenes that contributed to both depression and shyness. Fortunately, we don't always have to know why. Sometimes we just have to settle for the results.

The second case was performed by Debra Trojan for a pregnant lady who was about to faint in an electronics store. Please note how EFT brought relief even though the lady's disbelief in the process was clearly evident (she called it a distraction). This case is very useful to show those who think EFT is merely a placebo. It worked splendidly even though the client had no belief in it and thus "explained it away" as a distraction.

Please consult physicians on all medical issues.

Hugs, Gary

Gary,

I wanted to let you know of an interesting, unexpected result of EFT from your beginning course (the videos, by the way, are excellent--everything is unusually well explained, and the sound and image are excellent).  GC COMMENT:  These videos have been upgraded and replaced by important material in our store.

I have been in therapy for many years (Reichian, Primal) and have been going through a rough period the past two years since having a couple of heart attacks, which have left me with intermittent tachycardia. About two months ago, some old feelings around my dad came up and I was feeling very depressed. To make a long story short, a few days of EFT lifted the depression and I started feeling much better. Later, with the help of one of your therapists, I used it to reduce the tachycardia.

But the unexpected benefit has been the disappearance of life-long shyness! I wasn't even thinking of it as a problem, since it has been part of the fabric of my life as long as I remember. But now, when I am out walking my dog, or shopping, I easily (and I do mean easily and naturally) fall into conversation with complete strangers. It is as if a transparent wall that kept me apart from others has now dissolved. I have not had problems with contact with people once I get to know them, but just shyness with strangers.

Now it is gone!

If I happen to say hello to someone who does not feel like talking, I just let it go, whereas in the past my feelings would have been hurt. Now the process of meeting new people is so appealing that I look forward to it.

While before I hated 'small talk', I now enjoy it.

I was quite startled by this experience, especially since I'm just a beginner with EFT. (I've only read the manual and website and then used it on a couple of family members and friends.)  GC COMMENT: The previous manual has been upgraded and replaced by The Gold Standard (Official) EFT Tapping Tutorial and the important material in our Store.

I was at an electronics store, waiting at the service counter when a stranger called out to me. I turned around and saw a woman sitting on the floor looking as if she was going to pass out. I knelt down beside her and asked her what was wrong. She told me she was pregnant and that she was about to faint. She said she wanted someone to know this before she fainted so that no one would freak out when they saw her lying there.

I asked the staff to get her some water. In an attempt to comfort her, I told her not to worry; everything would be fine. However, my words didn't seem to phase her; she turned white and began to panic. She was sweating profusely and looked scared to death. So much so, that I began to panic; I didn't know what to do. I had never been in this kind of situation before.

Then, I thought of EFT. I told her that I wanted to try something on her that I thought might help and that it was going to seem silly but that she should just go along with it because it might really help her. Before she could say anything, I started tapping with the set-up:

"Even though I feel like I'm going to faint, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."

She whispered the phrase while following my lead with the tapping.  As I was in the final stages of The EFT Tapping Basic Recipe, she abruptly stopped and said "Oh it's a distraction." (That was my first sign that it was working.) I told her that we were almost through and that she should continue to follow my lead; it would be just another minute and we would be finished. She indulged me and a minute later she was telling me that she was fine.

Please note: She didn't say that she was feeling better; she said she was "fine." I said, "Are you sure; do you want me to walk you to your car." She responded: "No, that's not necessary; I'm 100 percent!" She got right up and thanked me and was on her way.

Boy did I feel like a magician or what?
